From North:
Freeway A12 direction Genova-Livorno. Exit at Rosignano. Continue on the S.S Aurelia until exit Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here continue to Piombino Marittima.
From North-Est:
Freeway A1 direction Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Rosignano. Continue on the S.S Aurelia until exit Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from here continue to Piombino Marittima. In alternative: take the s.g.c. Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Signa and continue on the S.S (super street) until the Collesalvetti exit. Re-enter the freeway and continue to Rosignano Marittimo and there, take the s.s to Venturina and therefore,from here continue to Piombino Marittima.
From South:
Freeway A12, direction Roma-Grosseto. S.S Aurelia exiting at Venturina-Isola d'Elba.Continue to Piombino Marittima.

The ferry

You can reach the island of Elba by car where on arrival to Piombino, two different shipping companies (Toremar, Blu Navy and Moby Lines) offer comfortable ferry services that during the tourist season navigate hourly, on a daily basis.
In only one hour circa, the ferries cover the 10Km distance from the mainland arriving in a chioce of ports; Portoferraio, Rio Marina and Cavo. For a more rapid sollution, a Hydrofoil service operates from Piombino to Portoferraio (via Cavo) in only 35mins. of navigation.
This service is available to passengers without automobiles only.

Ferry Low Cost

2010, a new navigation company called Blunavy has started its service on the route to the island of Elba.

Our hotel has reached an agreement with this company for a certain number of tickets at a very affordable price: the place for two cars for each route is guaranteed to us at a low cost price; should these two low cost tickets be already sold, other competitive prices would be available.

The ticket price must be paid together with the deposit.

date, run (Piombino – Portoferraio or Portoferraio – Piombino), preferred time of boarding and possible alternative time, number of adults, number of children under 4 years and number of children under 5 and 12 years.

It will be our care to instantly verify the availability and give you a positive or negative confirmation about which tariff will be applied to you: low cost or regular.

Directions to Hotel Capo Sud

As you arrive in Portoferraio follow the sign "All directions".
Than turn left to Porto Azzurro.
After about 800 mt. you'll find a traffic lighters, turn right to "Lacona / Colle Reciso". (Colle = hill)
As you arrive to the bottom of Colle Reciso (of the hill) you'll find in front of you a minimarket and a bank. There turn left untill a cross where you turn left again, direction Porto Azzurro/Capoliveri.
After about 400 mt on the right you'll find the road (Via Capo del Marinaro) to Hotel Capo Sud.
